Every Day Should Be Mother's Day!
Mom is the most important woman in our lives.
Ya, ya we know, mother’s day just went by. So? Does that mean we cannot celebrate it again! We don’t need a special day to celebrate moms. Everyday is Mother’s Day if you ask us.
Every year, we take one day out of our lives to celebrate our moms. One day to commend her bravery for taking on the role of raising a child. One day to applaud her for being your go-to for however many years you've been alive. One day to let her sit back, relax and be pampered, as she deserves.
But why just one day? Why is a single Sunday in May a sufficient amount of time to honor the woman who put you here and has kept you going ever since? What about the other 364 days?
There's no doubt that the connection and bond that exists between a mom and her child is a special one. She nurtures and cares for her special gift, which in turn, carries on throughout the child's life.
But that's not a mom's only job. She's there through the good, the bad and the ugly. She wipes away every tear and embraces every one of your laughs. She stands by your side even when you've done the stupidest thing imaginable. She's there for your failures just as much as she's there for your successes. She's the first person you run to when you're sick or scared or heartbroken. She's ready to go after anyone who ever does you wrong. She always knows just what to say. But sometimes, all she has to do is hug you.
There's no one in this world that has your back more than she does. She knows just how to ease the pain or brighten your day. She will always answer your phone calls, even at 1 a.m. She was there to fix the cuts and scrapes when you were two years old, and she still does, even if you're 20. She packed your lunch, and she was there every day to greet you when you came home from school. She's your number-one fan.
Nothing can ever compare to the endless amount of roles that a mom plays. She's a real life superhero -- taking care of herself while simultaneously taking care of you and always putting you first. So with all that your mom does for you, why only acknowledge it one day of the year?
The flowers and the presents on a Sunday in May don't match the gratitude that we should have for the woman who gave us so much and continues to give us every single day. A Mother's Day card doesn't even begin to cover it -- tell and show your mom you love her all the time. Celebrate Mother's Day every day. Your mom deserves it. Here's to you, Mom.
